We're hiring a Chief of Staff for the founder of an early-stage AI company reimagining the consumer insurance market. This is not a traditional CoS role. You will be the founder's right hand across every dimension of the business — investor relations, hiring, operations, strategy, and whatever needs to get done that day.
The founder is exceptionally sharp and moves fast. He needs someone who can keep up intellectually, take ownership without being asked, and get things done without hand-holding. If you're looking for a defined scope, this isn't the role. If you thrive in ambiguity and want to learn how to build a company from someone who's figured it out — this is rare.
What you'll actually be doing:
- Running projects end-to-end across ops, finance, and strategy
- Supporting investor meetings, board prep, and fundraising processes
- Owning recruiting pipelines and candidate management
- Identifying and solving problems before the founder has to ask
- Building processes and infrastructure from scratch
What we're looking for:
- 2–5 years at a top investment bank, consulting firm, or high-growth startup
- Intellectually curious, fast, and highly organised
- Low ego, high output — comfortable being hands-on with operational work
- Based in New York, happy to work in-person
$150K base + meaningful early-stage equity
